In the spring of 2021, our family started rebuilding this remarkable 18-hole layout with the idea of making it a destination course. Whether you live locally full-time or part of the year, drive in from surrounding areas, camp here regularly or just travel here occasionally, we want you to be glad you made the time to make the trip every time you come out and play!
A very relaxed, friendly atmosphere, the great layout, the course's signature 11th hole overlooking Sterling Marsh with distant views of the Lake Ontario and nice family friendly restrooms facilities on both the front and back 9’s are just a few of the reasons to bring your family and friends out to play a few rounds at this hidden gem.
Located in northern Cayuga County on Lake Ontario, Springbrook Greens is a family run 18-hole public golf course leased from NY State Parks. The clubhouse and parking lot are ½ mile from the entrance to Fair Haven Beach State Park. The park has one of the finest public lakefronts in upstate NY and is a great place to stay when you come out and play!
- All but 1 of the greens have been expanded.
- Slow and untrue greens were worked on tirelessly until conditions improved.
- A liquor license was obtained so that alcohol could be served.
- Overall conditions improved, tees and fairways have much more grass now.
- Roots were pruned where they were impacting greens.
- Cart paths were cleared, and a lot of the overgrown brush has been cut back.
- Dead trees removed and wooded areas cleaned up.
- Trees along fairways and around greens have been, and are still, being pruned back to allow shots where 30 years of growth has blocked good shots.
- Tees are being added and some are being rebuilt.
